On the afternoon of October 7, He Lifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, led a central delegation to Shihezi City in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps for a visit and research initiative.

The delegation’s first stop was the Museum of Military Farming in Xinjiang. There, they explored the revolutionary history of the Corps and its crucial role in the development of Xinjiang, the promotion of national unity, the maintenance of social stability, and the strengthening of border defense. He Lifeng underscored the importance of upholding General Secretary Xi Jinping’s directives, encouraging everyone to tap into the Corps’ valuable spirit while also exploring its relevance in today’s context. He stressed the necessity of harnessing “red resources” and passing down the “red genes” from the Corps’ 70-year legacy to inspire officials and staff to deepen their commitment to Xinjiang and make more meaningful contributions to the region.

The delegation then moved on to Xinjiang Tianye (Group) Co., Ltd. for further insights. He Lifeng engaged with company leaders to discuss technological innovations and the drive towards new industrialization. He sought firsthand updates on the current production and operational status from project leaders. He pointed out that the Corps should embrace an innovation-driven strategy and develop productive forces that are tailored to local needs. He called for an expedited shift toward advanced, intelligent, and green development, emphasizing the importance of clean and efficient coal utilization as well as environmental preservation. He aimed to strengthen leading enterprises and successfully launch landmark projects in modern coal chemistry to foster new technological growth that supports high-quality development.
