Authorities received calls for help after four individuals became stranded on the Ice Crystal Peak. In response, the Huayin District swiftly mobilized over 150 personnel from public security, emergency services, health, fire rescue, and other teams to conduct a search and rescue operation in the mountainous area.
Despite their efforts, while two of the trapped individuals were successfully brought to safety, the other two were sadly found unresponsive due to exposure to the cold.
The Emergency Management Bureau is urging the public to exercise caution when venturing into mountainous regions, where the climate can change rapidly and the terrain can be unpredictable. They emphasize the importance of prioritizing safety and avoiding high-risk areas like Ice Crystal Peak to protect lives.
