On October 24, reporters learned from official sources in Ningxia that the 11th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum will be held in Yinchuan from October 25 to 28. This event is jointly organized by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Friendly Neighborliness and Cooperation Committee and the People’s Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

The theme of this year’s forum is “Promoting Green Development to Build a Shared Home.” It will feature four sub-forums focusing on industrial green development, modern agriculture and technological innovation, city partnerships and cultural exchanges, and regional cooperation discussions. The aim is to strengthen friendly ties between China and Central Asian countries, deepen exchanges and cooperation, and expand practical collaboration in trade, investment, culture, technology, digital economy, and modern agriculture.

During the forum, the “Yinchuan Initiative of the 11th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum” will be launched, alongside various activities including a photo exhibition showcasing China-Central Asia cooperation outcomes, the planting of a friendship forest for Chinese and Central Asian youth, the unveiling of the China (Ningxia) – Central Asia Youth Friendship Camp, and a display and sales center for Central Asian specialty products, culminating in a closing ceremony and a project signing event.

This forum will feature around 300 distinguished guests from both domestic and international backgrounds, including leaders from China and Central Asia, provincial and ministerial officials, diplomats in China, experts and scholars, representatives from relevant international organizations, as well as business associations, universities, and enterprises.

The China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum serves as a national-level cooperative platform for mechanism-based exchanges between China and Central Asian countries. It was established in 2012 and has already successfully held ten sessions, enriching the framework of cooperation between the two regions. The forum has become an important platform for promoting regional friendship and achieving mutual benefits. Given that Ningxia is a crucial node in the Belt and Road Initiative, hosting this forum there reinforces the outcomes of the first China-Central Asia Summit and the “Shanghai Cooperation Organization +” Astana Summit, signaling strong support for high-quality collaboration in building the Belt and Road Initiative and establishing a China-Central Asia community of shared destiny while deepening friendly exchanges and practical cooperation across various fields such as economy, agriculture, technology, education, and cultural tourism.
