During a regular press conference on October 9, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning addressed a question regarding North Korea’s announcement to sever road and rail connections with South Korea.

Mao expressed that China is closely monitoring developments on the Korean Peninsula and the dynamics in North-South relations. He emphasized that maintaining peace and stability on the peninsula and promoting a political resolution to the issues at hand align with the common interests of all parties involved, as well as representing the broader expectations of the international community. He called for collective efforts to achieve these goals.
