The incident, which took place on October 6, was caused by a box of nails that fell from a cargo truck, leading to the puncturing of over twenty tires. Thankfully, all affected vehicles have been dealt with.

Initial reports indicate that around 4:30 PM on October 6, a box containing nails fell from a truck on the Hu-Yu Expressway heading toward Chongqing. The box spilled onto the road near the Shizhu County area, resulting in tire punctures for more than twenty vehicles that followed. Fortunately, there were no blowouts or collisions reported.

Local highway patrol officers acted quickly after receiving the report, working in tandem with Chongqing Yudong Highway Co., Ltd. to ensure the nails were cleaned up promptly. They also organized the collection of the damaged vehicles at the Zhongzhou service area, where Yudong Company took the initiative to provide initial compensation for those affected. By approximately 1 AM on October 7, all damaged vehicles had been processed and removed from the service area. The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the incident and the vehicles involved.
